My parents have a room where they share computer time: two desktops, two printers, two scanners...you get the picture. This makes absoultely no sense. Except that anymore, desktops are sold with these items as a bundle for a few hundred extra dollars.
Since they already have wiresless, there would be minimal costs associated with networking the desktops, printers and scanners. They would have immediately saved money on the useless bundle and space in the room, and long-term on electricity costs of running the additional equipment.
I wonder why one of the questions the Best Buy salesperson fails to ask is, "Do you plan to run multiple machines or just this one?"
