Google Power Meter

Google Power Meter isn't out yet but, as with most things Google, there is already a lot of talk about the service.



I think this is a great tool to actualize power usage on a smaller scale and have a greater impact per household. I'd be willing to bet it doesn't take long before the resulting stats are the norm on home sale info flyers and energy usage becomes a much more significant selling point for both buyers and sellers.

The service is said to roll out by the end of the calendar year.
